
Memphis, TN (August 16, 2026) – Memphis Police Department officers are actively investigating a late-night two-vehicle collision that left a woman critically injured on Thursday, August 13. Emergency personnel responded to the crash site at the intersection of Lamar Avenue and Central Avenue around 11:50 p.m.
First responders treated an injured female driver at the scene before paramedics rushed her to a local hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition.
Investigating officers issued a traffic citation to one of the drivers involved for failure to maintain a safe lookout.
