Memphis, TN (September 23, 2026) – Three people were injured Wednesday morning, September 23, after a vehicle crashed into a home near Chuck Avenue and Goodlett Road in Memphis.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. The driver reportedly struck the Parkway Village residence after a hit-and-run elsewhere. The driver was taken to a hospital in non-critical condition and was detained.
Two people inside the home were also injured. An adult man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, while another person was treated at the scene.
Officials are still working to determine how the crash occurred.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we hope they make a full recovery.
A person injured when a vehicle crashes into a home may have legal options for medical expenses, lost income, property damage, and other losses if another party may be legally responsible. Available compensation can depend on the injuries, financial losses, insurance coverage, and evidence.
Medical care can be a significant expense after a serious crash. Hospital treatment, testing, medications, follow-up visits, and rehabilitation can add up during recovery. Keeping medical records and bills can help document these costs.
Injuries may also affect a person's ability to work. Missed shifts, reduced hours, or other changes can result in lost income. Pay stubs, employer records, and work schedules may help show these financial effects.
The damage to the home should also be documented. Photos, repair estimates, receipts, and insurance records can help establish the cost of repairing walls, doors, windows, furniture, and other property.
Evidence from the roadway may provide additional information about what happened. Photos of the scene, the vehicle, and the damaged home, along with witness accounts or available video, may help document the crash.
Because the vehicle was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run before reaching the home, insurance coverage may require additional review. Policy documents, claim correspondence, medical records, and property damage estimates can help clarify the losses involved.
A personal injury lawyer in Tennessee can review the evidence, medical records, property damage, and insurance information to explain what legal options may apply.
